Product set up with more than 3 Variant Options and more than 100 secondary variants

Hi All

 

We have a "Built to Order" product which we would like to set up on our online store.

 

1.  It will have more than 3 Variant Options - Cannot find an app which allows for more than 3 variant options.  Any help on this would appreciated.

 

2.  It will have more than 100 secondary Variant Options - Have found a few apps which allow more than 100 options - would be grateful for advice on apps you have already used and recommend.

 

3.  Some of the secondary variant options are stand alone SKU's which we sell online seperately (How to manage inventory in this case) - I have no idea how this can work - if someone has suggestions or ideas, appreciate any feedback and help on this.

Regarding inventory tracking and SKUs, I understand you need to track individual parts of your product with specific SKUS. Here’s what we recommend:

  • Upcoming Shopify Update: Shopify is expected to launch an update in the next month or two that will allow Kickflip to merge inventory sync capabilities. Once this goes live, you’ll be able to sync Shopify SKUs to Kickflip inventory, making it much easier to track parts.

  • Manual Sync (Current Option): Until the Shopify update is available, you can manually sync from Kickflip to Shopify, adjusting whether individual variants or variant bundles/combinations are tracked in Kickflip.

  • Custom Middleware Solution: If you need an automated solution right away, a web developer could help create middleware that fetches inventory location IDs from the Kickflip API and links them to a third-party inventory management system that integrates with both Shopify and Kickflip.

  • Alternative SKU Tracking in Kickflip: Another approach would be to set up a 'behind-the-scenes' question in the Kickflip product builder. You could create predefined answers for each part or combination, set up rules to force specific answers, and include SKU values in the titles based on customer selections. By activating the 'summary' toggle, this information will be transferred to the Shopify order sheet.
