How can I ensure brand tags only appear in their relevant collections?

I have added tags to my products on the following site:

I have also enabled Tag Groups so that Brands and Gender tags are together.  I am wondering if there is a way that items tagged in the brand grouping will only show up if they are in that Collection.  Ie Gnu would only show up in the snowboard collection and not the skis.
