Product with multiple variant types

Is there a way to create a product that has a physical variant with color options and a digital option for download.

I have designed a physical product that has color options, and a digital download for the design.

How would I create a single product that has:

- physical (shippable) item with color options

ie: chair - blue, red, green

and

- digital download of the design

ie: chair.file

When I try to create this with variants, Shopify applies the color variant to the physical and digital product.
How would I apply color options to only the physical variant?

Is there a way to create a variant for a variant?

Hello @Knucklehead3D ,

Yes that's default of shopify.

I suggest add physical and digital as separate products. In this way color variants will not come under digital product.
