Hi @Chugger
It’s frustrating when your store suddenly experiences issues like this, especially when everything was running smoothly before. Here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:
Check for Recent Changes:
If there have been any recent updates to your theme or installed apps, these might be the cause. Sometimes an update can introduce conflicts or bugs. Try reverting the changes or disabling the app to see if the issue is resolved. If you or a developer recently made custom code changes, there might be an error affecting the cart functionality or image loading. Reverting those changes temporarily can help identify the issue.
Clear Browser Cache and Cookies:
The issue could be related to cached files in your browser. Clear your cache and cookies or try accessing your store in an incognito window to see if the problem persists.
Check for JavaScript Errors:
Open your browser’s developer tools (usually by pressing F12 or right-clicking and selecting “Inspect”) and check the console for any JavaScript errors. These errors can give you clues about what’s going wrong.
Test on a Different Theme:
Try switching to a default Shopify theme (like Debut or Dawn) temporarily to see if the problem is theme-related. If the issue disappears, it’s likely a problem with your current theme.
App Conflicts:
Sometimes apps can conflict with each other, especially if they both modify the cart or product pages. Disable apps one by one and test your store after each to identify if an app is causing the issue.
Shopify Status and Support:
Check Shopify’s status page to see if any ongoing platform issues could be affecting your store. If none of these steps work, consider reaching out to Shopify Support. They can help you identify any server-side issues or conflicts that might be causing these problems.
Review Logs:
If you have access to server logs or any error logging in your theme or apps, review them for any clues that could indicate what’s causing the issue.
Reinstall Theme/App:
As a last resort, consider reinstalling your theme or any recently updated apps to their default state to eliminate any potential issues.
These steps should help you identify and fix the issue. If you’re not comfortable troubleshooting yourself, it might be worth contacting a Shopify Expert or developer to assist.
Hope this helps, and best of luck getting your store back up and running!
Regards,
Adebayo
