Shopify themes, liquid, logos, and UX
Hi!
I am not sure if this is the right place to ask, but maybe you could help me with this.
We want to create a text at the bottom of our collection page with a read more button and faded text so it won't take up too much space. It's especially for SEO texts so we can have more keywords on our collection page.
I have tried a few different codes in the liquid section, but I can't get it to work.
This is an example of how we somehow want it: https://css-tricks.com/text-fade-read-more/ (but then with white background and white faded text and a black text color.
Could anyone here maybe help me out with this?
If you have any questions let me know!
Hi @sebashobo ,
You said you tried to edit in the liquid file but it didn't work => It's possible you didn't edit the correct file or edited the code correctly. Please check again or send the store link and corrected code to check the details.
+) When editing code on Shopify, the css code should be added at the end of one of the files: theme.css; base.css; style.css;... (depending on the theme. Check your theme to see which file it is). Do not edit directly into the liquid file.
+) Code js: create a separate js file then embed that file into the liquid file. Refer to the post: https://www.askquesty.com/post/how-to-add-javascript-shopify-tutorial
