Reducing the size of blog post feature dimage - dawn theme

Hello!

When I upload a featured image for my blog post, it shows up huge, and I would like to reduce the size.

For clarity: this picture appears on the main blog page, where the posts are collected, and also in the post if I open it. I managed to reduce the size of the photo in the post itself, now I am looking for a solution for when you look at all the blog posts listed. 

This is my inspiration for their size, only that i would like the pictures to be square:

Can you share the URL of the page where your blog post image is located? or if you can share a screenshot of the image then that would be great since I'm unable to locate it on your website.
