Refresh theme cant change text and button color for feature collections

Hi, I am currently editing my website on the refresh theme, and on the home page I have added a feature products tile and feature collections tile, but for some reason they have this horrible grey background and the text is white and the button is white so you can barely read it. I have tried to change the color scheme for them but it doesn't change anything. How do I change these colors? And hopefully remove the grey tile behind each product.
