Remove Clearpay Messaging

Hi everyone,

 

I am trying to remove Clearpay messaging from my product page. I originally added the messaging in the theme.liquid file, but when I go back to delete it it has completely disappeared. 

 

Does anyone have any idea of how I can get rid of it? I am using Dawn theme.

Thanks for posting. I hope your day is going well!

 

Are you certain that the code was added in the theme.liquid file? Or is it possible it was added in another location like the product page template? If you can provide your domain we can look at the source code to try and locate it for you. However, another option is to also roll back your theme to an older version of your theme.

 

In the future, when making code changes, we recommend you download your theme to your computer to ensure you always have a backup you can easily upload. This can especially help if you make an error while editing that completely breaks your theme. This way you will always have a safety net.

Thanks so much for your reply! Yes I am sure it was in theme.liquid, I followed these instructions to install it exactly: https://developers.clearpay.co.uk/clearpay-online/docs/adding-clearpay-site-messaging

Providing your website won't grant my access, the source code is completely public. I do understand and respect your request for privacy however!

For anyone still having this trouble after deleting the Clearpay app, delete it from your payment providers by doing the following:

 

SETTINGS/PAYMENT/ADDITIONAL PAYMENT METHODS

If Clearpay is showing here, then MANAGE/DEACTIVATE
