Remove Hero Slideshow Animation and Footer Promotion Animation Impulse Theme

My site is www.monkeyknuckles.ca and I want to remove the hero slideshow animation when you open website.

It takes about 2 seconds to load in. It will affect my SEO. I want it too load fast. Picture is already crushed it is not the problem.

Also the footer promotion animation (not present on homepage but present on all other pages) fades in from black. Does not look good. How can I remove that animation or make it fade in from my background colour (F9F9F9).
