This issue can be resolve by:

In your theme, go to the customizer, then from the top dropdown, select the product page. In the product settings, you should see a checkbox that says "Remove the hover."
If you don’t find the option there, check the settings on the left-hand side of the customizer. In the settings, you'll find a "Product" dropdown, where this option should be available.
