Remove Sale Badge on third party custom theme and show slashed out "compare at price"

I am currently using a custom theme so I cannot find the answer specific to my theme.

I need to remove the "Sale Badge"  and show slashed out "compare at price" on my collection page.

Currently when I add compare at price it adds an ugly badge and doesn't show the compare at price on the collection page, only the current sale price.
