Shopify themes, liquid, logos, and UX
Hi, we are running a site wide sale tomorrow and the discount(s) are all set up, but how can I easily show the sale price on the product pages vs. only in cart?
Changing the prices on every single item works, but there should be an easier way right? I don't want to change them all, just to change them back in 2 days when the sale is over.
Ultimately, I want to schedule the sale and have it automatically show the sale price on the product pages for the days/times scheduled.
Thanks in advance for your help!
If you are able to detail it out step by step I would really appreciate it, thank you.
Simplest is add a text block to the product pages noting the sale.
Otherwise if you don't want to change the underlying prices because your using discounts to to the sale then you need to customize the theme to do the math and show the adjusted prices and keep updated when customers select different variants.
If you need this customization then contact me directly by mail for services.
Please always provide context, examples: store url, theme name, post url(s) , or any further detail.

Hi, @amyp25.
Thank you for reaching out and posting this question!
As suggested by @PaulNewton, the easier option on Shopify for doing a site-wide sale is by displaying the discount code or an automatic discount using some sort of banner (eg. announcement bar, slideshow, sections, etc) as this method requires less work in updating the prices or making edits to the theme. While you can use something like the bulk editor to update the prices, there isn't a way to schedule the price changes. However, you can schedule discount codes or automatic discounts, so this is what most stores would use in general.
That being said, if you prefer displaying the sale prices on the product pages and not having to use a discount code (as they are cart discounts and shown at checkout), then you can consider using a third-party app called Bulk Sale Price & Discount Pro. This app can help you apply sale prices, bulk discounts, and price updates as well as providing you with scheduling or rollback functionalities. If you need to get help with a third-party app, then the app developer is always available to assist you. Simply reach out to them using the contact information found at the bottom of their app's page.

Hi,
We took your advice and installed the Bulk Sale Price & Discount Pro app and it works nicely, however, it is allowing our auto generated coupon codes (subscribe for 10% off kind of codes) to be used in addition to the sale price, even though the code discounts are set up in our shop discounts as "do not combine".
I've reached out several times via the app's help messaging and also directly email this week and no one is contacting me to help. Any chance you know how to fix this issue? Otherwise, we will have to uninstall since we are no losing money. TIA!
Hi, @amyp25.
Thank you for following up.
If you're using the Bulk Sale Price & Discount Pro app to schedule price changes for a sales event, then this would be an expected behaviour as changing prices wouldn't be considered a discount or discount code. Though your store doesn't allow stacking discounts, customers would still be able to add one discount during checkout as long as your store is offering discount codes.
That being said, I'd recommend checking the app for any functions that may help disable or prevent discount codes during a scheduled sales event. If you're not hearing back from the app developer through the app, then you can also submit a support ticket to them here: Aperitive Apps.
Let me know if you have any other questions.
