Scrolling text

Good evening 

I would like to add scrolling text to my website I'm currently customizing the new 2.0 free theme. I would like the text on the body of the web page on the homepage actually to scroll from right to left 

I'm not sure how to do this

yes add code theme.liquide file to  custom code

i tried to add this code <marquee style="font-family:Book Antiqua; color: #FFFFFF" bgcolor="#000080" direction="left">This is an example of Marquee</marquee>

but i'm still not sure where to add it if i want it on my home page

I would also like to do this for my announcement bar in the Prestige Theme if possible but I have no idea of how or where to add any of these codes. I am beyond inexperienced, please help and thank you.
