Seeking Shopify Theme with Built-In Variant Image Functionality

Hello,

I've been struggling with an issue in Shopify for quite some time. I can't seem to find a theme that, on the product page, displays images corresponding to the selected variant. For example, if I select the "red" variant, I would expect to see only the images for the red variant, not images of other colors. To me, this feels like a basic e-commerce feature, but it seems surprisingly rare in Shopify themes.

I've been using the Dawn theme and have implemented code modifications based on various tutorials to achieve this functionality. However, each time the theme updates, my changes are lost, and I have to start over. I'm now willing to invest in a paid theme, but I'm finding it challenging to locate one that includes this variant selector functionality by default. Do you have any recommendations?

Hey @MarJan2 

The type of functionality you're looking for can be done in your current theme as well by some custom coding in your theme files instead of completely switching to a new theme. This will require some custom coding of course so if you're not familiar with coding then I would highly recommend you to hire a Shopify developer who can help you out with that. Additionally you can use Rubik Variant Images app which is also solving the problem of showing images of only related to selected options. I am the founder of this app and if you need help I am happy to assist you personally. I recorded a demo video and showed how the app works.
