Select variants by clicking their images - Ride

I'm using Ride theme, and due to the amount of variants some of my products have I'd like to enable users to tap on an image to select the variant. I've tried following this but I can't find the section theme.js or theme.js.liquid

Is there a way to do it?

The link you provided is for old Shopify themes. This can be done but will need to have someone write the code for you as it is a complex instructions. You can also check our website as we offer this as paid product.

I understand you are looking to provide variant images, so customers can select different images options provided for the particular product instead of text.

This can be implemented with the help of custom code, as for this you have to first identify the section of variant selector code responsible for rendering these variant options and then you have to replace the existing code with the new liquid code that generates images for each variant you will provide.

I suggest you hire a shopify developer for implementing these changes, as if you try to change this at your end, it may cause issues to your store also.
