Shopify themes, liquid, logos, and UX
Hello, I am a new starter on Shopify and I am in the process of designing my first page, yet, since the desktop and mobile versions cannot be designed separately, I am stuck.
I don't know what to do next. I was trying to set a nice image for my home page in 3:4 ratio but it looks terrible on the mobile version, and I can't see an option to choose a different image to be shown only on mobile either.
This seemed completely ridiculous, so, I thought I might be missing something. Can you please help me? How can I separately design my page's mobile and desktop versions?
@Esforja - check if your theme has an option to set mobile images for pages, you can check it in customize settings
else need to add 2 separate section, one for desk image ad one for mobile and hide one of them as per the need
Hello, thank you for your reply.
I don't think my theme has that option, it is Refresh, but I couldn't understand the alternative you recommended. Can you elaborate, please?
@Esforja - create 2 image sections, 1 for desktop image and second for mobile image. Add these both sections to the page you want, so now you have both images on this page.
And then using the css, we can show/hide the section you want on the particular device view.
Oh, that's great. How can I do it? I also need to learn how to use CSS.
