Slideshow background colour

Hi, I am wondering if the colour of the background of the slideshow can be changed. I have already tried changing the colour scheme in the left hand side menu, but all that changes is the colour of the arrow I have lablled in the screenshot as number "2". 

I want to change the colour of the background where I have indicated with an arrow labelled as number "1". Is this possible?

Are you sure this is for the background colour and not the padding?

You can try this code by following these steps: 

Step 1: Go to Online Store->Theme->Edit code. 

Step 2: Search file base.css

Step 3: Paste the below code at bottom of the file -> Save

}

Hi Henry, thanks for your reply. It works for mobile but not for desktop. Is there a way to do it for both? And use a HEX code for colouring?
