Slideshow to have videos and images - Slideshow Dawn Them

I want to update the dawn theme slideshow to have videos as well as images. Also I want to remove the button and the white box for text. I just want the images and videos and on hover to show the title of what it is. Please help everything I have looked up seems very old.
