Small square Carousel of Images that are NOT products I am selling

So lets say you need to add a image slide show (carousel) of images that I am not selling but referencing to, how would I go about it? 

imagine small square images horizontally aligned (like in a featured collection) which are only scrolling through the images by itself. 

For the sake of imagination lets say its five in one column with the middle one being slightly enlarged and arrows on the left and right of the column to scroll through. If arrows are not getting clicked it auto scrolls. 

Can‘t find a way to do it when these images are not tied to a collection or product in that sense.
