Ok I am confused I have a banner at the top of my page. The size of the file has been drastically reduced as far as I can go without effecting the quality as bad, and now googles page speed insights says its way to slow loading and blames this photo. How do i fix this without getting rid of it or making my site look like trash with poor quality?

Hi @crossovertees ,
This is Theodore from PageFly - Shopify Page Builder App.

Banner image slowing down your Shopify store on Google PageSpeed Insights? Here's how to fix it without sacrificing quality:

  • Further image compression: Tools like TinyPNG can squeeze out more file size without hurting quality.

  • Right format: Use JPEG for photos, PNG for graphics with transparency.

  • Resize for display area: Don't use a bigger image than what's shown on the page.

  • Consider lazy loading: Delay loading unseen images until users scroll down.

  • Content Delivery Network (CDN): Spreads website content across global servers for faster loading.

Hi, Thank you for getting back to me. I checked out TinyPNG and it only lowered the size by 100 kb which is not enough to make a difference. The file type is already set as JPG, and the diplay area isnt a issue. I also aleady switched to lazy loading. How do I do CDN?

I'm Noticing that the results keep fluctuating. They get up to 70s then plummet to the 30s on that. I used Shopify's CDN site and it lowered the file size drastically but changed nothing with the speed.
