Stagger Images on Homepage

Hi all. 

I am wondering if it is possible to add some custom code to a component to make the images appear staggered rather than aligned with each other? I am using Impulse theme and looking to do this on 2 or 3 images on either a promotional grid or text column with images components. 

Any advise welcome.

I am thinking of using on Text Column With Images with 3 images (as shown below). 

The Impulse theme is 7.4.0

Desired effect would be alternating, but would like to be able to change if desired.
