Shopify themes, liquid, logos, and UX
Hi, I've just tried to speak to someone on chat for 3 hours and it seems they have no idea what they are doing. Neither do I, thats why I'm here.
I'm not very technical and I've made a mess of my shopify store. I want to start my store again with a new theme (using the demo template), but every time I select new template it's not the same and just overlays my old shop. Shopify chat said to delete everything and choose theme but now it doesn't even have subheadings etc anymore, which is carried onto the new theme.
Does anyone know how I can get a new default theme to which I can start again from scratch? Is there a default settings button hiding somewhere as I can't find anything. I don't want to deactivate my account and set up a new one as I don't really need a new shop, just a new basic sample theme as showed in the demos.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Hey @N0ideawatimdoin
There are a lot of great and amazing themes in Shopify Theme Store . You can select any theme from the theme store which you like and then on that theme you can begin to customize your store. Feel free to let me know if you require any help regarding store customization or store setup and I will be more than happy to guide you through each and every step.
If I managed to help you then, don't forget to Like it and Mark it as Solution!
Best Regards,
Moeed
As I've said, I've selected the theme but it customizes it to my old shop. I want a brand new theme from the template on the demo thats not customised. There are no options to delete my current template to start again. The only way I can get my new theme is by selecting it and then publishing the new theme, but it takes on the old themes settings. I want a brand new theme template so I can start customising from scratch but I want the demo template to work from as I was informed in chat to deleted everything from my old template, so there's barely anything on it. How do I get a new template without it having the old templates customization?
Surely someone knows how to do this!?
Seriously Shopify is so crap
