Can anyone explain why in the world Stocky (a Shopify inventory and PO system) now blurs out the totals, as if they are NSFW, while you are editing shipping, amount paid, etc?? As with many things related to Shopify, there was NOTHING wrong with Stocky, so they "fixed" it. Now I have to hit the edit button before I can add anything and when I add shipping or an amount paid, it blurs out the totals, so I can't see if things are totaling up like I would expect them to. So what should be a one step process: hit edit, add shipping, add amount paid, hit save, now turns into a 2 step process: hit edit, add shipping, save to see & confirm total, then hit edit button again, and then add amount paid and then hit save again. And like I said before, there was nothing wrong with how it worked before where I didn't even have to hit an edit button. Yeah, I could do the addition on the side, but why should I have to?
As with the nonsense changes to the Admin page, Shopify "fixes" things and makes them harder to use. Incredibly frustrating.
LOL, I can't even upload an image of it because, "The file type (.png) is not supported. Valid file types are: csv, flow." PNG is the default screen cap file type so, of course, it makes sense to not allow it???
I totally get your frustration with the changes to Stocky. It seems like the update made things more complicated instead of improving the user experience. Having to go through multiple steps to do something that should be straightforward is definitely annoying.
The blurring of totals while editing seems counterintuitive, especially when you're trying to ensure accuracy with your entries. Unfortunately, it sounds like a design choice that didn’t consider the practical workflow of users.
For now, I’d suggest providing feedback to Shopify about this issue. They do take user feedback seriously, and if enough people mention it, they might reconsider the change.
In the meantime, as a workaround, you could use a simple calculator app to add up the totals before inputting them into Stocky. It’s not ideal, but it might save you some hassle.
And about the image upload issue, that's indeed odd. If you need to share a screenshot with someone for help, converting the PNG to a JPEG or using an online file converter could be a quick fix.
If this fixed your issue, likes and accepting as a solution are highly appreciated

JPG is not a valid file type, unfortunately. I just tried it to make sure. "Valid file types are: csv, flow."
I've shared this with Shopify and I have to say that, no, given their history, they don't actually care. If they cared, they would have reverted back to the old admin page design. Take a look at the comments on the YT video of them announcing the changes. Almost every single comment was scathing in its criticism of the changes. There were approx a dozen posts about it here in the forums and NOT ONE comment was in support of the changes.
You said, "sounds like a design choice that didn’t consider the practical workflow of users." That is pretty much 100% of Shopify's changes in the last year. I really don't understand what is going on with their developers.
I have a calculator on my desk but the idea that I should have to reach for that because Stocky is going out of its way to blur out the totals is really strange. More than anything I'd just like to know WHY they do it. It used to do real time calculations of inputs so I don't think it's that it can't happen.
