Store Credit with New Customer Accounts

So Ive been issuing store credit thinking everything is going to be great for my customers..  But they cannot figure out how to use it.. They are either not logged in, or are using SHop Pay or don't see the store credit box in checkout.. 

Question? You cant be logged in with Shop Pay if you want to use your store credit???  and you must choose Checkout As Guest even if you are logged in or it wont show in the checkout screen?
