Shopify themes, liquid, logos, and UX
Hi Guys,
I am using the theme Motion on the website I m currently building. I have created new template pages in the code editor, and would like to assign them.
Based on this article: https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/online-store/themes/os20/theme-structure/templates
I am supposed to be able to do this:
But I only have the 4 default pages to select. (About, faq, contact and full width).
I have done it before for the Product Page template without any issues, but to assign a general page template to a page, I can't.
I have cleared the cache, and tried in Incognito mode, but those other templates won't appear.
Thanks for your help!
Alexia
Solved! Go to the solution
This is an accepted solution.
Is the new template located on non-live theme? If it is you may need to create it in live theme (it can be blank) and then assign it to the page. You should be able to see it then under "Templates".
If it's not in the test theme then please share the screenshot of the template file with the name next to it.

That should be the reason!

I will try your fix! Thanks!
