Trade theme - Variant Dropdown

Hello. In my current theme Debut, my product pages have a drop down menu for different size variants as seen in the picture here:

But the theme "Trade" that I am trying to switch to, shows variants like this, which is awful

How can I fix/code this to show as a dropdown menu?

You can setting it in the customize theme. You can refer screenshot below to adjust.
