Translating the “Sale” badge in the category grid (Dawn theme)

Hi everyone,

 

I’m using the Dawn theme, and I want to translate the “Sale” badge into Italian. I followed several guides and modified the default theme translations in Edit default theme content, but the change only applies to the product page.

 

In the category grid, the badge still appears in English. I couldn’t find a way to modify it.

 

Does anyone know how to change the text for the category grid badge as well?

@PatrizaS you can check the Default Theme Content for "Sale" and replace it.

Hi @Finer ,

Thanks for your response! I actually already did that, and the translation works on the product page, but the badge in the category grid still shows “SALE” instead of the translated version.

 

Maybe I’m missing something? I searched for “SALE” in the theme translations, but I can’t find anything untranslated.

 

Any ideas on what I might be doing wrong? Thanks in advance! 😊

@PatrizaS when scrolling down, you can see how the Italian wording is being switched with "Sale".

 

Are you using any Apps that add Badges (e.g. Sami Product Labels & Badges)?

 

You might have to check the wording in the app.

Yes, I checked, and there are no other occurrences of “SALE” that are not translated.

 

I am using Sami Product Label & Badges—how can I check the translation settings there?

I contacted the developer, and they checked the site. There is no interference or any similar label from the app—it depends on the theme.
