Unable to see product metafield and collapsible row

hi,

I am unable to see product metafield, it shows only category metafield. Also unable to see collapsible row under product information section which i can use to add a metafield.

I have added few metafield such as shipping policy, wash care but unable to add them to product display page.

This is something we can't see from outside. You'd need to share screenshots with metafield definition and screenshot from the Customizer where you add them to product page.

Thanks for reverting. Please find the screenshots below. first screenshot - i am able to see only category metafields whereas I believe product metafield is required (metafields which are create are in product category). Second and third screenshot - unable to see collapsible row under 'add to block' section which i want to use to add a metafield.

You have not shown the definitions of your metafields.
Usually, metafield type must be compatible with the section/block setting type to show up in the list, though Ella allows you to specify MF namespace and key manually in some settings.

As for collapsible row -- it can be that Ella does not have this block for product page info section, or they call it differently. I can't be sure on this.

They do have tabs.

It's always best to consult theme documentation/theme developers and Ella devs are good in this aspect.

Thanks a lot Tim, I was struggling to add metafields but youtube link helped.

I have one follow up question. I added product specification using meta fields. Is it possible to see product specification in below format, currently it is showing as one big paragraph. URL = https://www.rivaajethnic.com/products/dress

Content: Kurta
Colour: Red
Style: A line
Sleeve Style : Chudi Sleeves
Neckline: Round Neck

You can have rich text type metafield -- it will give you option to apply some formatting and will output html-formatted.

To add product-specific metafields to your product pages in the Dawn theme, follow these steps to ensure they are properly configured and displayed:

1. Ensure Metafields Are Set Up for Products

• Go to Settings > Metafields in your Shopify admin.
• Select Products to create metafields that apply specifically to products (not collections).
• Add your desired metafields here (e.g., shipping policy, wash care) if you haven’t already.

2. Check Product Template for Metafields

• Go to Online Store > Themes > Customize for the Dawn theme.
• Open a Product Page in the customizer.
• In the left sidebar, select the Product Information section.

   • Within the Product Information settings, look for options like Collapsible Row or Text Block.
   • If Collapsible Row is not visible, add a new Collapsible Row block manually.
   • Within this block, look for the “Connect dynamic source” icon next to the text field. This will allow you to select your metafields (e.g., shipping policy, wash care) and connect them directly to the content area.

4. Troubleshooting Metafield Visibility

• If you’re still not seeing product metafields, ensure they are properly saved under Product Metafields and are associated with each product.
• Refresh the page after adding metafields in case they don’t appear immediately.
