Shopify themes, liquid, logos, and UX
How can I display a different photo or different product description for a product on the Shop app vs. what is shown on my regular Shopify storefront?
I sell personalized products, but since the Shop app doesn't support that yet, I need to provide instructions to customers, but I only want it visible if they are using the Shop app.
Caveat: Shop and other channels can be nonsensical for product personalization. Test the customer journey, go through these things like a new customer would.
If additional information needs to be collected info through theme customizations or frontend apps but Shop, etc is sending customers directly to checkout that's just creating a process problem.
Simplest is to make a duplicate product only published on the Shop channel with tailored content.
If inventory is tracked you will need an app to keep duplicate products inventory sync'd to main products.
If the channel sends customers to product pages in the online-sales-channel instead of checkout, then for the duplicate product you may want to setup frontend javascript redirects to point published duplicate-products urls to the main-products url.
Or a deeper theme customization that always swaps in the main-product whenever the duplicate product might popup on the frontend.
