Using liquid in redirects? Docs say you can, but no more info.

The documentation for redirects says that "You can also add Liquid to your Redirect from and Redirect to fields.", but doesn't go into any more detail. Can anyone explain how to actually use that feature?

Thanks.

Hello,

I am San from MS Web Designer.

Here is the solution:

There are two types of redirections in shopify:

1.You have the option to redirect pages from the menu by simply clicking on 'View URL Redirects,' exporting and importing the updated URL redirects to help maintain your website's SEO. You can also check the status of 404 pages here: https://httpstatus.io/.

2.When you add custom links like href in your theme, you need to ensure that you also take care of your website's SEO.

Do let me know in case of any concerns,

Regards,

San

Hi San -

Thanks for the info. We're still looking for information about using liquid with redirects. At this point it would appear that the documentation is incorrect.

Agree. The Tag Redirect does not work. I wanted to execute some redirect rules without using the Navigation option for single redirects. Shopify says - Liquid syntax error (line x): Unknown tag 'redirect'.
