Varient grouping into slides is not an improvement

Reposting this here because I originally posted to the wrong area and got no responses.

A recent design change grouped product variants in slides of 10. This not better. We have products with extensive variants ranging up to the max of 100. Variant availability for these products frequently cycles so we need to delete sold options. Before, we could scroll through and click all sold out options. Now we have to go slide by slide because previously checked boxes do not survive between slides. This work became needlessly more difficult when all variants used to display in one single column. Please change this back or provide display options so the store owner can choose.

This issue is actually more annoying than I thought even though it seems the number of variants per tile was quietly increased to 25.

Let's say a product has 75 variants and we cycle them regularly. You start by deleting sold variants on the first tile of 25 options. Since selections do not survive to later tiles, the best you can do is clean up the first 25 and save. But then what happens is that variants move forward to fill the gaps. Often there is now a new sold-out variant which has come forward to the first tile. So then you delete those couple and save. You need to keep repeating this for the first tile until there are 25 in-stock variants in a row, and only then can you proceed to the second tile. A job which used to take seconds is now cumbersome.

The best way I have found as a workaround is to start at the LAST tile and work backwards. In this manner you at least guarantee that you'll only have to address each tile once.

The tiles are not better and there should be an option for the store owner to display this layout or not. Or toggle the number of variants on each tile.
