Shopify themes, liquid, logos, and UX
hello,
unfortunately on my product pages the images load very slow (3-4 seconds) even though I optimized them and they are 30-60kb only and in webp format. I have a second shop where I uploaded product images with way higher file size 600kb - 1.4mb and png and there is no problem with loading speed at all.
yes I tried multiple browsers, devices, other internet connections, friends computers etc ... everywhere the same.
if anyone has an idea I would really appreciate it ... 3 seconds+ is way too long and I don't understand why it would take so long. makes no sense to me.
the site is artmxsphere.com - the problem is on products pages
thanks in advance!
thanks but don't think that's the problem as my other shop runs very smooth with higher image sizes
also what do you mean by that:
'Also your website needs too many things to change to optimize your conversion rate' ?
Hi @ra369 ,
After checking your site artmxsphere.com, I can confirm the image loading issue on your product pages. Despite your efforts with webp format and small file sizes (30-60kb), the 3-4 second load time is definitely problematic for user experience.
This is an interesting situation since your second shop with much larger images loads faster. Let me share some insights on what might be happening:
Server response time issues: The delay might be happening before the image download even begins - a common but overlooked problem
Resource prioritization: Your theme might be loading images with low priority compared to other resources
Image delivery method: The CDN or delivery system might be adding latency
Theme code inefficiency: Some themes handle image loading poorly, even with optimized images
Third-party app interference: Apps might be interrupting the normal page load sequence
When image size optimization isn't solving the problem, you need more sophisticated performance monitoring and optimization. This is exactly where Tapita SEO & Speed Optimizer can help:
If you're seeing this persistent issue across different devices and connections, it indicates a structural problem that requires specialized tools to diagnose and fix.
