I have been trying my best to find a solution, however it looks like this may just be how it is (at least from previously dated posts) - I'm hoping maybe there is a solution still!
I have a video background on my homepage, which looks great on desktop and on a mobile device EXCEPT for when the mobile device has 'low power mode' switched on (which I personally always do). Is there a way to still get this video to work, whether or not the viewer has 'low power mode' turned on on their device?
OR as a workaround, is there a way to have the mobile-viewers see a photograph rather than the video?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Hey There,
Can you please share the Store URL, so better we look into it?
Thank you
Hi Nayan,
My store is yet to go live, and I have a password on it - is there a way I can show you without allowing the public to also view the website?
As a workaround for anyone else - I've just realised, if you upload a cover photo within the Video Background section, that works for phones on low power mode. So at least its not a blank space! So desktop = video, mobile device = video, mobile device on low power mode = cover photo.
The cover photo must be in a vertical orientation 3:4 or 650x890 px
Hope this helps someone else!
Unfortunately, low power mode on mobile devices often disables background videos to save battery, and there isn't a direct way to override this behavior
