Why Am Getting Traffic But No Sales?

Why Am Getting Traffic But No Sales?

My Websitehttps://jump4pets.com/

For the past month I have sending paid traffic to my dropshipping pets store (Jump4Pets). The paid advertising traffic sources I have been using this past month include (Pinterest,  Snapchat & TikTok

Now despite having very good Ad campaign metrics on all three platforms  i.e. (High CTR,  Low CPM's, etc...) most of the traffic landing on my (product pages) don't seem to be converting into sales. I am not even getting a lot of (add to carts) as well as other forms of engagement on the page.

I am very confused as to what the major issue could be as to why most of the paid traffic I am sending to my product page doesn't seem to be converting into sales. I am confident in the products I have on my store and I have done all that I could to optimise each product page for conversion rate optimisation (CRO)

Could someone please tell me what the major issue on my site could be as to why most of the traffic I am sending to my product pages isn't  converting into sales.

Hi @Daniel963 , thank you for posting here!

I noticed that your problem is so popular, I wanted to share some general tips on traffic and conversion with you here that you might find useful:
  1. We would usually advise merchants to work on getting more traffic to their store first, so that you have solid daily visitor numbers.
  2. Once you have done so, you can look into ways to increase your conversion rate optimisation for your store.
  3. One way to do so, mentioned above, is to look at using a call to action to guide your customers through to purchase.
  4. Consider the customer experience in your store and how you might use this to get your visitors to convert into spenders.
  5. I noticed that your store lacked some promotion or sales pop-up. You can use social proof techniques such as showing the number of visitors, recent purchases, or trending products. I highly recommend that you should use SnapNoti FOMO Vistor Counter - free for all features to build trust in your store and convert visitors into customers more easily.

Hi @Daniel963 , Welcome to the Shopify Community!

I checked your site, and here are a few quick suggestions to improve conversions:

  1. UX & Design: Ensure your product pages are visually appealing and user-friendly.
  2. Product Descriptions: Make sure they are engaging and clearly highlight benefits.
  3. Trust Signals: Add customer reviews and trust badges.
  4. Mobile Optimization: Check that your site is fully optimized for mobile users.
  5. Checkout Process: Simplify it to reduce cart abandonment.

You can also use tools like heatmaps to analyze user behavior. If you need further help, feel free to reach out to me at [

Hope this helps!

Hi Daniel,

I would also suggest to track your products/offering, which of them are generating views (and no add to carts), which products have low (or high) conversion or abandonment rates. This visibility helps you as store owner to be able to take actions in improving the product offer, the pricing or other factors that in the end would result in an improved overall conversion rate. The devil is in the details, its important to understand your users and how they interact with your products.

Take a look at our demo (no signup needed) to have a better impression about what kind of measurements can be used to track, understand and ultimately improve your product offering and of course your store performance:  https://demo.datma.io/shopify/reporting/metrics/1416 - this a direct link to a reports with all products with conversions, add to carts, abandonment rates, but feel free to look around.

Best,

Peter @ Datma
