Shopify themes, liquid, logos, and UX
This is the preview from the "Online Store > Theme", but the red ones don't appear in my actual website. How can I fix this?
Hello @Lm2025
If your Main Menu updates appear in the theme preview but not on your live website, the issue is likely due to one of the following:
1. Unpublished Theme
The theme you're previewing may not be the one currently published. To check this:
. Go to Online Store > Themes
. Look for the Published theme section at the top.
. If your updated menu is on a different (unpublished) theme, click “Publish” on that theme to make it live.
2. Wrong Header/Menu Assigned in Theme Editor
Even if you're using the correct theme, your live header may be using a different menu than what you've updated.
To fix it:
1. Go to Online Store > Themes > Customize (for the published theme)
2. In the left sidebar, click Header
3. Check which menu is assigned under the "Navigation" section.
4. Make sure it says Main menu (or whatever menu you've been editing).
5. If it shows a different one, change it to the correct menu.
3. Cached Browser Issue
Sometimes, changes don't show up immediately because of caching.
. Open your live site in incognito/private mode or
. Clear your browser cache and refresh the page.
4. Menu Edits Not Saved in Navigation
Double-check that your edits are properly saved:
. Go to Online Store > Navigation
. Click on the menu you edited (e.g. "Main menu")
. Confirm that all items (like “Soils”, “Liquid Fertilizers”, etc.) are actually listed
. If not, re-add them and click Save menu
Thank you 😊
I can't find the Navigation in Online Store?
Do you think this can be the reason why it's not showing up?
