Why is my banner image changing colour to grey?? sahara theme

I want my full width banner background to be WHITE or transparent but when I upload it's looking like this weird grey gradient:

I tried to put

.banner__media {
background: transparent !important;
}
</style>

but didn't work.

Please add this code to your theme.liquid above the </head> to get this solved

Step 1: Online Stores > Themes > More Actions > Edit code

Step 2: click on theme.liquid and paste the code above the </head>
