Shopify themes, liquid, logos, and UX
Hi, Everyone
I encountered an issue last week, since then I have been trying to resolve that but still, I could not do it.
After reading so many articles and watching so many videos. I could not find the answer to my problem. I think while trying to resolve the problem, I have made it even worse.
The problem is google ads conversion tag is showing inactive. my store URL is https://clark-smith-fashion.myshopify.com. I am using the Ella theme by Halo. It was working fine and then suddenly our marketing campaign conversion got worse. I checked and I noticed that conversions are 0 and then I noticed that Tag is showing inactive. Then I tried troubleshooting it, but it did not work.
What I have done so far, I have import the conversion tracking from analytics. That is not working. I have tried reinstalling the google tags and made some changes and republishing it, some tags are firing but thank you page and cart page are not firing in google tags. Then I tried the manual way in google ads. I was shown a code when I clicked on the google shopping app purchase tag in google ads, that I inserted everywhere I was asked to. In the header and in the checkout section in Shopify settings, but still, I could not do it. Now the thing is, I have tried three ways to solve this problem, and I out some codes of Google tags and google ads in the header, body, and checkout section of Shopify settings. Now I am afraid that I have invited more trouble. I don't have very much expertise in this. I am really tired and worried about this. Can anyone please help me?
I am attaching some Screenshots, Please check out those for reference.

Conversions need to be tracking the checkout > thank you page, which is the additional script section.
Not your theme, conversion tracking should not be there for normal sales tracking.
You can install conversion tracking using this guide:https://feedarmy.com/kb/adding-adwords-conversion-tracking-to-shopify/
Thank you very much for answering my query. I have followed every step that was there in the video or in your post. For now, the status is unverified and I will update once it starts tracking.
Hi, I waited and the status of that conversion I installed is still unverified. I did the exact same mistake. do you have any idea where could I go wrong on this or what's wrong?
check the screenshot.
Make sure you waited 24 hours, or more, as you need to have a user visit the thank you page to trigger the code. Meaning if no-one is on your thank you page, it will never trigger.
Perform a test purchase and check if the conversion code is working using Google Tag Assistant.
As to knowing what your issues are, no, I would not know, as that requires me to physically check your account.
Okay, I got your point. What I did after installing the tag. I went on Google and searched for a few keywords and after clicking on a few shopping ads, I did a test purchase just to make sure that it's getting triggered, but still, it's unverified. Let's wait for some more time then
Hey, Can you help, with the tag values what do we put in the conversion value, transection ID and I guess currency code in my case would INR.
Check the SS. You would know what I Talking about.
That is not part of my tutorial, so you are most likely installing it completely differently, hence why it might not be working. Make sure to follow the steps exactly, no extra steps in GTM.
If you want to install it via GTM, you need to contact the person who is guiding you to do this.
Hey, No.
You got me wrong here. I did exactly as it was in the tutorial. This I asked out of curiosity as I was troubleshooting the unverified Tag and then in GTM I saw this, So I asked in General. Otherwise. I have followed the exact same step as you mentioned in your tutorial.
Did you ever find a solution for this? I'm experiencing the same issue!
