Shopify themes, liquid, logos, and UX
Hi!
I'm using the theme "Dawn" and Dsers for adding products.
The compared price shows up when I'm in the editor page. But all of a sudden my compared price won't show up when I view my website on any internet browser, any suggestions on how to fix this problem?
I've found out that compared prices doesn't show up for EU countries only. Everything looks normal and shows up for other selected countries/regions on my site.
Hi @AD_BULL,
Are you trying to create a sale on your store? As I explained in a previous community response: the value in Compare at price must be higher than the value in Price to show a sale price. If the value is lower, it will not reflect anything on your website at all.
Could you send me a screenshot of the product page from your store admin to see that this is what you have got setup, please?
If this is how you have it set up, then that suggests something is not being communicated properly with your theme. Have you made any code changes to your theme or added any third-party apps at all, please?

Here is the screenshot and I've already done this on all my products. It doesn't seem to be the problem.
As I mentioned in the comment above:
I've found out that compared prices doesn't show up for EU countries only. Everything looks normal and shows up for other selected countries/regions on my site. (US, UK, Canada, Australia, etc.)
I've used these apps:
- Dsers
- Viva Reviews
- Easy FAQ Page
- Geolocation
And I've been making a few changes by coding, only for changing fonts and the placement of the header menu.
Thanks for that additional context. So, to be clear, currently on your store visitors should see a sale that looks something like the screenshot below, but visitors from Europe do not see that:
As there is no feature in your Shopify settings to display different sales depending on visitor location, I suspect this is related to whichever geolocation app you may be using. Which app is it? And could you give me a screenshot of what the settings look like in that?
Also, how do you know that European visitors cannot see the sale? Is it because you select a European country through this app? Or is it because you are using a VPN to test your store experience?

That is correct!
I'm using the app Geolocation by Shopify. Do you recommend any other apps? The settings on this app is shown on the screenshot below:
I'm selecting a European country through the app to check if the sale comes up. Thank you so much for all the help.
Ok, so I've dug into this a little further and suspect it actually has nothing to do with your geolocation app. I think it is, in fact, related to the European Pricing Indication Directive which I've explained in this community forum post.
I hope that explanation helps! Please let me know if you have further questions.

Yes it helped me understand what the problem is, but I didn't really understand how to fix it in Shopify. Do you have an explanation on how to do this, or isn't it possible to do?
Thanks again!
