Shopify themes, liquid, logos, and UX
Hello,
Would a serious partner be able to help me with an issue on my password page. www.girlsxkicks.com/password
There is a grey line that runs through the footer when you first land on the page, the when you refresh it disappears.
I just need someone to check the codes for me on the password page. pic attached.
Thanks
Hi @GXK,
I checked and didn't find it, did you remove it?
Hello, I didn't remove it. Still having the issue. When I go onto the page it's still there, when I refresh it goes away.
Hi @GXK,
Thanks for bringing your question to the community. I can appreciate how important it is to provide a cohesive viewing experience for your visitors. No worries, let’s get to it!
Upon checking your password page, I can see a clear page without the unwanted grey bar. I have a few questions that can help troubleshoot this.
If you know when the issue was triggered, you can try rolling back to an older version of your theme to identify the issue.
You mentioned seeking an expert to help with the theme code. I’ve gone ahead and searched up the experts specialized in theme customization for your reference. Feel free to learn more about hiring an expert through our help center.
Upon checking your landing page, I also’ve noticed that your Instagram led to a lost page. You can add a social media icon to your theme if you’re using a theme made by Shopify. Looking forward to hearing back!
Thank you for getting back to me.
I am still having the issue. It happened when I was trying to remove the padlock from the password page because I didn't want customers to click on it, thinking there was a log in option.
I will try rolling back to see if I have any luck.
Thanks re social media page. I have fixed this now.
For some reason I cannot see 'section-password.css' in templates, in the dawn theme. Is it down as something else?
Hi @GXK,
If you want to edit HTML, you can go to layout > password.liquid file.
Or if you want to find the 'section-password.css' file, you can go to Assets > section-password.css file.
Hope it helps!
Thanks. The issue is I cannot find an older version of the 'section-password.css'. I know where it's kept but there's no drop down to select an older version.
Hi @GXK,
With files at Assets, this is not possible.
You just have to download the latest version of the theme and back it up.
Hope it is clear to you.
