Why isn't the mobile search function working on my Editions theme?

I am unable to write something in the search box on the mobile view my Editions theme. It is driving me absolutely crazy and I tried several codes that I found by googling the problem but nothing works 😫. Countless hours spent on this so please if anyone may have a suggestion 🙏
