Workaround for Shopify breaking breadcrumbs

Shopify has effectively broken breadcrumbs (I believe it was for SEO purposes) but I can no longer have breadcrumbs in the format HOME > COLLECTION > PRODUCT, now they are all HOME > ALL PRODUCTS > PRODUCT

So they are basically useless and serve no purpose anymore. 

Has anyone figured out a good work around to put them back without the SEO hit ?

To restore breadcrumbs in the format HOME > COLLECTION > PRODUCT in Shopify, you can customize your theme’s code to display the correct path without compromising SEO. Here’s how:

1. Go to Online Store > Themes and select Edit code.
2. Open the breadcrumb.liquid file or equivalent file in your theme.
3. Modify the breadcrumb code to use collection.handle or collection.url when available, instead of the default path.
