WYSIWYG Editor Removing HTML

I have noticed in the last week or so that the WYSIWYG editor on product pages is removing HTML. 

I use <!-- split --> to create a short description that is added above the add to cart. The short description has to be surrounding by <!-- split --> (short description) <!-- split -->.

When I save it is removing the first split code and now my long description is also in the short description.  Unless I go to the HTML and add it back before saving, it gets stripped out.
