Why am I getting a 404 error on my Shopify product previews?

Hi,

I am currently building my site and have successfully added a number of products which I have previewed with no issues at all. However, as of today, I am unable to preview any of these and indeed subsequent additions without getting the 404 page not found error. What I have noticed is there is a bullet point now showing against Online Store with schedule availabilty highlighted in blue. I've clicked on the highlight and tried to schedule for 30 mins in the future but it doesn't do anything!

Please help as I need to get my site built and published asap

Thanks

Hi, @Sandra_Mitchell

Sorry to hear you're having troubles previewing products on your store. Happy to help troubleshoot here with you. A couple questions:

1. Which browser are you using?
2. What is the status of the products you are trying to view? Are they active

I'd recommend trying a different browser, making sure it's a supported browser, such as Google Chrome. As well, make sure you don't have any pop-up blockers enabled while previewing your store, as this can interfere with the admin. Lastly, please try clearing your cookies and cache

From there, if you're still having issues, if you can please take a screenshot of what you're seeing and share it here, including any errors, that will be helpful for troubleshooting further!

Last thing I'll mention is that for urgent support, you can always reach out to our live Support team. To do that, follow the link to our Contact page, then follow the prompts to reach our team via live chat or callback request (live options).

Hi Hilary

To answer your questions:
1. My browser is Chrome and my desktop is running windows 10
2. All products are active

I have cleared cookies and cache but still get a 404 error (screenshot
attached).

I did try clicking on the continue shopping button from the error page and
it takes me to all my products in a grid view. When I select a product from
here it displays perfectly.

Hope this helps

Sandra

I'm not sure if they changed this but also check that your system date/time is correct so that it's not reading that and setting a wrong future date instead of the actual current time.

Could clarify if that displays the product on your regular storefront on in the preview url, and that is on a collection page where it displays and it doesn't actually send you to the product page?
