All things Shopify and commerce
Hello,
I am getting the following error when I try to click into specific order pages, product pages, and customer account pages:
There’s a technical problem with Shopify that has prevented this page from loading. Try reloading this page or going to another page in Shopify. If that doesn’t work, visit our status page for updates and try again later."
There appear to be no outages on Shopify and I have tried logging on from a different browser, going incognito, clearing cache/cookies. Can someone please help?
Hi there, @gbielsky.
Thanks for posting to the Shopify Community.
Earlier today, Shopify received reports of merchants experiencing errors when accessing different sections of the admin. Our developers have since investigated and resolved the issue. I recommend clearing your cache and cookies and refreshing your browser prior to accessing your admin.
If you continue to experience error messages on your end, please feel free to share your questions/screenshots in this thread.

We also followed the instructions above and are still receiving the 500 error. Is this part of a wider outage?
I continually get this error (500) and having to reload nearly every page I visit. I have cleared cache etc problem ongoing. Julie
Done all that was recommended and still get 500 Error
Hi, @SolSoils + @Strongandfree.
Thanks for joining the thread!
Are you still experiencing a 500 Error when clicking into Orders, Products, Customers etc?
On Wednesday, February 21st, Shopify received reports of merchants having issues editing orders and seeing a 500 Error message in the admin. Our developers have identified and implemented a fix, so you should no longer be seeing this error message.
If you could do a cache clear and refresh the page to let us know if the issue still persists?
Thanks!

I'm now 5 hours into trying to fix this infuriating 500 error situation. Yes I've cleared my cache and cookies, yes I've tried logging in on incognito browser, yes I've tried logging in on an entirely different network, yes I've I tried every combination of refresh, re-do, and then sat with support in chat for an hour yesterday until then finally said they would do an "internal reboot" of my store that would take about 4 hours but fix things. 1 day later, and still the same issue. Logging into my account is simply NOT happening.
If this is a known issue for some, then I would implore Shopify to own up to it and let us know what's happening. I have a deadline for a major launch of new products and here I sit......... hours wasted. Please help.

Good morning. I am getting the 500 error when clicking into orders. I checked the Shopify status page for our store and it says everything is fine. I can't open an order on our Ipad to reprint a receipt for a customer. It says that we have no internet connection yet when I go to the connectivity screen it says we are connected. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!
Getting the same!!! 😭
Clear cache cookies don't fix it!!!
Same, it seems there's a GraphQL quota error when retrieving the order details when visiting the an order detail page in the Shopify admin.
Query cost is 3213, which exceeds the single query max cost limit (1000)
Same here. 500 error when trying to access any orders. Everything's come to a standstill here, we can't access any order info - but no outages reported on Shopify status page at the moment.
Same! Come on Shopify! Fix your damn stuff!!
if you have AdBlock or a similar addon enabled it can be as simple as that, it was for me!
It looks like things are back. Fingers crossed it stays that way! Good luck everyone!
I'm getting the same error when i click on any order. This isn't the first time it's happened, either. Has a solution been found?
It seems to be a common issue, we found a workaround, from the orders list click on the customer drop down and click on view customer, it wont give you all the order functions but you can see the info, hope this helps.
Thank you! Looks like things are running properly again. One can only hope! 🙂
if you have adblock enabled, it can be that. Had that exact issue and when disabled it worked perfectly again.
Hey all, just to chime in,
I had this issue when trying to open a product. It was because I had AdBlock enabled on the site. Once disabled it worked again perfectly, hopefully this is the fix for you guys and girls too!
I am also experiencing the same problem. Shopify please assist.
