IMG_3309.jpegIMG_3308.jpegHey, just logged into my store. I have a 500 error on the backend. The front end is fine.

I’ve never seen this, have no idea the cause, and have no idea how to fix it.

Any ideas/solutions?

TYIA.

Hi, @vhuddleston.

Thanks for posting to the Shopify Community!

Are you still experiencing this error? Yesterday, Shopify received some reports of merchants being unable to access their Shopify admin/seeing 500 error message.

Our developers have since resolved the issue, and you should be able to access your admin as expected. Prior to launching your admin, I recommend trying the troubleshooting steps below.

Troubleshooting Steps:

  • Clear your cookies and cache and completely reboot the browser.
  • Try using an incognito window or a different browser.
  • Launch your admin on another device or the Shopify Mobile app.

Hello Vhuddleston,

Thanks for reaching out to the community!

Well, error 500 indicates that your website is facing an internal problem, which is from the server’s end and not yours. This is a temporary glitch that can last up to a day but usually gets resolved itself.

For quick resolution, the below-listed suggestions can help:

  • Clear the cache files and cookies on your browser or completely reboot the browser
  • Try disabling extensions on the browser, as they can impact the rendering of the website
  • Use another browser or incognito mode
  • Disable firewall or pop-up blockers on your system
  • Change the Internet Service

Hope it helps!
