Hello,

My website had over 550 visitors in the past 15 days (that's when I launched) with the help of Facebook ads. I have got 3 sales so far. Is this considered a normal conversion rate for a new store or should I spend more on ads. I spend around $20 per day. www.terrastoreus.com

Hi @hoponwithshifa 👋 Conversion rates vary wildly among industries and niches, the conventional wisdom bandied about is 2%+ is "good".

Meanwhile an almost ~0.5% conversion rate is better than then endless amount of merchants getting NO sales:

All that matters is whether that's sustainable , and then growable.

Meaning is that $X per day generating enough revenue to pay for more days AND compensate your other investments in money and time.

Don't worry about what "normal" is  , comparison is the thief of joy, keep your eyes on the lane your in etc etc etc

Good for you.

Hey there, @hoponwithshifa! Thanks for taking the time to reach out to the Shopify Community Forums with your question around conversions! My name is Imogen. It's good to meet you!

@PaulNewton has provided some great advice in their reply to you here! Your business is relatively young (you launched 15 days ago, you say) so actually you're seeing fantastic traffic for a brand new business, and the fact that you even have some orders so soon is fantastic too! Some folks would say that you're actually ahead of the curve, as some busniesses wait months before a sale, and that's even with larger ad spend than $20 a day.

If you have concerns about your converstion rate, I always recommend to folks to explore their business as if they were a customer and to see what sort of functionality or hiccups in the shopping flow you may experience that may turn customers 'off' from placing an order. I actually did this myself for your business using some U.S and Canadian addresses to test your shipping rates as well, which are quite cheap!

Our Teams have written several blogs on the topic of conversion rate, and I recommend checking out this one to learn of some actionable tips you can look into in order to increase your conversion rate! Though it's likely you'll see your conversion rate increase as your ads are better delivered to more ideal prospective customers, resources like the one I shared above will help you tweak the value and shopping funnels in your shop to optimize things further!
