Accept only Credit card and blocking an amount on rental website

Hello,

We are setting up one website when the customer will rental ski equipment (jackets, boots, etc).

What we are looking for is to block some amount of money every time the customer is renting one product. Some people has told us that it is possible using Stripe, but not sure about this.

Do you know any way to only accept credit cards and block a deposit that will not be charged to the customer? (only if they don't return the product)
