Add “cash on delivery” payment method to manually created orders.

Hello, since March we are no longer able to add the payment method to manually created orders on shopify.
Basically, when we create an order manually for our customers we need to add “cash on delivery” as a payment method, we just can't do it anymore.
This is causing major integration problems with our shipping management systems, and the logistics we work with because they can't identify orders as “cash on delivery” orders
Has anyone solved this problem Or can anyone help us solve it by creating a custom app that can add the “cash on delivery” payment method to our manually created orders?
