Add Product Dimensions for shipping cost

How can I add product dimensions so that our customers are being charged the proper shipping cost. We use Ups and I know I can add dimensions when im creating a label but since weight is the only option on the product page, I know that what the customer is being charged is not the same as what I am paying when I create a label in shopify.
