Adding a Collapsible Row

Hi,

I am trying to add a collapsible row to my products on my store, in order to add a 'Product Details' section (including materials, fit of products, etc). However, whenever I attempt to do this, It is automatically creating the same content for each of my products. I can not seem to generate unique information for each individual product. Please advise how I change this? Thanks

Hi, there! I'm happy to help you out with this! Are you setting up your online store for the first time or are you updating it?

It sounds like you are adding your product information directly into your theme editor. When you do this you are actually editing your Default product template, which is applied to all of your products by default. This means that any change made to this template will be changed for every product using it. In order to add unique product information for each product separately, you'd need to add this information into the product details page in your Shopify admin instead. You can get there by going to the Products tab in your Shopify admin and using your bulk editor to add in your information, or by going to your Products tab and selecting the specific product you want to edit.

Since your Shopify admin won't have fields for your collapsible row's built in, you can use metafields to help you with this. Metafields allow you to save and display specialized information that isn't usually captured in the Shopify admin. You can learn more about using metafields on this page.
